The Egyptian - Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers
Album - Indestructible
As my tastes in Jazz have grown I have found that who I call my “favorite” Jazz artist has changed many times. It used to be Miles, Coltrane, then Lee Morgan, then Hank Mobley, then Grant Green, then Gerald Clayton…I am clear now that it is definitively Art Blakey.
Have some.

Art Blakey’s music hit me hard when I started delving deeper into his music, such an astounding musician, he’s definitely my favorite.
